Hey all,
So a week ago I posted a video as part of a Vic Firth contest welcoming fellow alum, Keith Carlock, to their roster. Was a fun first, public, foray into recording in my redone home studio, which will be open for file-sharing studio sessions soon!

Also, I’ve been busy rehearsing for 2 shows this weekend with NYC-based singer/songwriter, Brian Dunne.
Friends, Dane Farnsworth (keys) and Dave Scher (guitar) and I will be backing him up at the Grapevine Main St. Days festival this weekend for two shows. Details HERE.

about Chip
Chip Vayenas is a top call drummer/percussionist based in Austin, TX. His musical, dynamic, solid and supportive style of playing is the mainstay of his creative and versatile approach to the drums. This approach has allowed him the opportunity to perform in wildly varied settings throughout his entire musical career.
Chip has been playing with Austin, TX renowned 8-piece original soul/funk band, Mingo Fishtrap since relocating to Austin, TX from LA in 2000. Performing across the U.S., Europe (Norway) and elsewhere, Mingo Fishtrap averages 100 shows annually and has shared the stage with such renowned artists as Sting, Little Richard, Annie Lennox, Galactic, Delbert McClinton, The Neville Brothers, Blues Traveler, The Wailers, Little Feat, Ozomatli, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Jonny Lang among others. They are currently working on a new album due to be released in 2011.
